WE ARE HIRING!

The Lamb County & District Attorney’s Office is seeking a full-time, in-office Legal Assistant to join our team. We are a small office that handles a wide range of criminal and county matters and are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and committed to public service.

About Our Office
Our office prosecutes adult and juvenile misdemeanor and felony offenses, handles Class C cases in Justice Court, advises county officials on legal matters, and responds to Public Information requests. We work closely with law enforcement, courts, victims, and the public every day.

Primary Responsibilities
• Data entry for criminal matters
• File and records management
• Scheduling court settings and preparing case materials
• Assisting with discovery and trial preparation
• Communicating with law enforcement, court staff, attorneys, and the public
• Maintaining office records, payments, and reports
• General administrative and office support duties

What We’re Looking For
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Professional communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Dependable, self-motivated work ethic
• Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.

Salary: Commensurate with experience. Full benefits include healthcare and a generous county retirement plan.
